LOVE Ina May's Guide to Childbirth and Birth by Tina Cassidy. Anything by Dr. Sears is pretty awesome, too. Oh, and Creating Your Birth Plan by Dr. Marsden Wagner. I love that man, too!

Also a huge fan of Ina May's Guide to Childbirth! Recently read Husband Coached Childbirth by Dr. Bradley and thought that was a wonderful resource as well.

One that I kept rereading was The Thinking Woman's Guide To A Better Birth (Henci Goer).

Soo many great books out there, so little time!

"Yes, hospitals offer free childbirth classes, but that is because it is a way for them--for the most part--to get people to become passive, compliant consumers of whatever it is that they are offering, which may be the induced labor, the scheduled cesarean, whatever. So, the independent childbirth educator is crucial." --Suzanne Arms

My all time favorite is birthing from within, I had so many revelations reading it, it made my horrible first birth make more sense, and it is empowering.
