Marijuana??

Okay I plan on doing a natural childbirth, and I came apon this website that says marijuana is good to use during labor because it eases the contractions and has other benefits....


What are your thoughts?

I've never heard of that. Do you have a link? I doubt that would be something I would ever try- I don't particularly care for marijuana, but it would be an interesting read.

Personally, While I am pregnant i do not smoke it but I cook with it. Smoking is bad for your lungs, but ingesting it something completely different. I eat small amounts about twice a month. it really helped me with morning sickness in early trimester.

I remember reading an article in "Mothering Magazine" about marijuana for extreme morning sickness.

My motto during preg and bf is if I wouldn't give it to baby I shouldn't have it

yeap shes great, and i agree small amounts while pregnant for nausea and vaporizing or edibles.

its not transferred to baby if taken in small quantities.

i have been wondering about cannabis ingesting during labor for quite some time my midwife for my first pregnancy was under the impression that it would stall labor like an epidural but her colleagues seemed to think that if taken in small amounts it would help and do the opposite. id like to see research but i doubt that will ever happen :)
