In America like they are in other cultures! I went to the art museum on a date with hubby and our youngest today. They had a neat display of African artifacts and art.

This is a headdress depicting a mature Baga woman. Her elongated, flat breasts are a symbol of having nurtured many children.

Imagine that? Women whose breasts are all flat and stretched out from childbearing and nurtured are regarded highly! Thats a huge difference from our society where its completely the opposite. That speaks volumes about how our society doesn't it?

A lot of the other art showed women holding their breasts out in front of them as if they were very powerful. It was very interesting!

I can't remember if it was my trip to Montreal or my France trip in HS, but I do remember the tour guide commenting on a particular advertisement of a woman bearing her breasts.  He had mentioned something about how they are a symbol of strength and power in their society.

As a bonus, you can tie the socks behind your neck (like a halter top) and then you've given yourself a free breast lift :D
