Im looking for some studies to share with my DDG about keeping our boys intact. Hearing some of the reasoning behind why they want to cut their boys just makes me want to cry and I would love to share some information as well as the scary truth about circumcision. If you have a minute and could link some good informational articles on here I would be really grateful. Thanks in advance. :)

oh yes. circumcision is NOT without risks, in fact it hold a LOT of risk. like the fact that 117 boys die on average per year from side effects from circumcision, that circ'ing literally scars the penis, it leaves the head exposed and it literally calluses which then dulls it to sensitivity and then can lead to sexual dysfunction later in life (would you want your SO to not be able to enjoy sex as much as you do?!) OR how about the fact that they do it without ANY sort of numbing, at all, and the baby is left to feel it all, every single cut. Their little bodies literally go into shock from the pain which is why they normally do not cry when getting it done. i could go on and on but circ'ing is very scary and risky and is never needed.

the excuses some people have are just ridiculous.  i am definitely becoming more of an intactivist, logans cut, there was no reason behind it and i hate it everyday, specially when i see the scarring from it, how dried out and rough the skin is (no not a perv feeling up his penis lol. he had an issue with it a few months back lol) compared to the rest of him. its awful.  a little teasing would be better than 1. my own guilt and 2. the side effects im sure he will have based off of what has already occured.

You know whats funny, Hunter is cut and it looks funny to me, I can see the scar tissue. I think he would have been happier if I had left him intact. I know I cant go back and change it now, but Eli will be intact and I want to help educate other mamas.

I'd like to know what country it is that they perform the surgery without aneasthetic, as it most definitely is not in Australia. I think, once I circ my boys (provided I have some) I will definitely be making sure they use anaesthetic. It's actualy quite illegal otherwise. Also with regards to 'every single cut' I'm not sure what practice you have seen, but it is more often then not 1-2 cuts and is done. I hope you do not vaccinate your child or allow them to have their initial blood screen done because oh the pain you would be inflicting on their poor little bodies! It's not risky if it is done right, by professionals, in clean environments. My S/O does have a circumsised benis, and when asked if he would have rather been circed his answer is 'no, why would I want a useless peice of skin?', it is harder for children to keep clean, and unless you plan on bathing with your son for the rest of his life you cannot guarantee that he will clean it properly! I'm yet to see a 'callused' penis, and I'm yet to meet a circumcised male that feels as if he doesn't have a sensitive penis. As for enjoying sex, a females clitoris is 3x more sensitive then a males head of penis anyway.

I think it is you that is so sorely misinformed. Before you go bashing other peoples  choices, think about how they could bash you back.

yup same here with logan. i can totally see someone "making fun" of the scar tissue more than they would being intact. i know several people who are intact and never once were made fun of for it. many more boys nowadays are not circ'd so the issue of being made fun of will be less and less as time goes on since the info on all the risks and why it isnt needed is more readily available

First off. Who did she bash?
Secondly... Nope she doesnt vax.
Thirdly... How would your husband know if he has never been intact?
Fourth. Have you actually looked up how they preform the surgery?
Fifth. Do you teach your children to brush their teeth? Wash their butts? Clean behind their ears? How is that any different than teaching a child to clean their penis?
Sixth... I believe you my friend are.misinformed.
