Gerber Graduates Melts - What do you think of them?

DD is 9 mo and has only had whole foods (sweet potato, carrots, avocado, greek yogurt, banana, and chicken)

MIL has offered the graduates yogurt melts a couple times. I didn't see anything wary on the label, but something seems unnatural to me how they just melt away. What do you think about them?

I wouldn't give them to my baby (assuming he could have milk)

They are a little weird. Almost like astronaut ice cream lol. I have to say my son LOVES them though. My mom brings them for my son, I wont buy them.

Yeah, that's how I feel too. Just wnated to make sure I wasn't the only one that thought they are weird.

They use milk powder, (most yogurts do) which is pure oxidized cholesterol. So, I would say no.

We don't use any gerber snacks due to some of the ingredients

You can get something very similar from Happy Baby called "freeze dried yogurt drops." You can buy them at Whole Foods. I do not think they are terribly nutritious, but I do not think they are harmful either.

At around 9 months, I gave my DS Rice Chex. They have ingredients that are not mysterious! They are gluten free.... It is just a lot more wholesome. They are whole grains!

Here are the strawberry ones but you can search any of them on this site. Ingredients listed in orange are considered controversial (2 in this product). You can click on the ingredient to find out why.
