I'm looking for ways to treat a yeast infection other than taking medicine. Any suggestions?

For me, tea tree oil on a tampon Is the quickest- but it stings.
Dilute some tto in olive oil and put it on a tampon. Since you're pregnant, only insert the tampon half way. Take it out when it stops stinging.

Feel Better soon. I know thats no fun.

You can always pm me! No judgement here!!

As far as dilution, you just gotta play with it. I'm not as sensitive to EOs as I'd like to be, and for ME it only works undiluted. But I NEVER recommend to start that way. Anyway, I'd say start with maybe 3-5 drops tto in enough oo to coat the tampon, and go from there. Ive found that if it doesn't sting, it doesn't work.

I've also found that I need to do it once- when it stops stinging, the infection is gone. But again, that's me. If it's still there tomorrow, do it again.

I would also suggest a shot once or twice daily of apple cider vinegar (which will balance your body's ph), and of course get some probiotics or extra yogurt.

My midwife had me on a supplement called Femdopholis (can get it at whole foods in refridgerated supplement section)its a probiotic and its awesome. She said ever since she started suggesting it she hasn't had any moms come up positive for strep b. I still take it even tho I'm not preggers anymore. I can tell if I haven't taken it.

I use a hydrogen peroxide rinse.  A few tbsp in a cup of water in on of those post-partum rinse bottles (forget their name right now) and rinse a few times until the yeast infection is gone.  I find this works the best for me.  Of course, peroxide isn't as 'natural' as many other ingredients, but for me, tto didn't work as well.

I use yogurt (well I've only had 1) but it worked fast, soothing immediately and no more pain right away and tested as gone the next week (I only applied twice) but I don't think it was a really bad infection.  I also took probiotics and cut down on sugar a lot.

ETA- plain yogurt NO SUGAR added  or it would get much worse :)

I use garlic cloves in that area for three nights. I just peel one and poke a hole through it and have it threaded. So it is easier to get out. Put it in for the night and then take it out in the morning. I do this for three nights. I also eat quite a bit of yogurt too.
