Good alternative for Omega 3's or Cod Liver Oil?

What would be a good alternative for Cod Liver Oil for a 2 year old?

I went to Whole Foods & was looking at everything they have but nothing could be given to a 2 yr old really. My son is highly allergic to seafood so it can't be anything that has any fish in it. He needs something that is similar to the cod liver oil that I can crush up/dump out of a capsule in a juice or smoothie to give him daily. All I could find were softgel capsules & that will not work!

For omegas I'd say flax seed oil would be your best bet. I get actual flax seeds and grind them up, the shelf life is longer that way.

OK thanks! I was thinking flaxseeds but it would be hard to get it into a form he would tolerate. I used to put them in smoothies but he is getting funny about textures now. I was kind of thinking about coconut oil but IDK if it would work.

I added the seeds ground up to my smoothies and didn't notice a difference in taste or texture, so that might work for him.

Oh yeah you did say that didn't you.... That you grind it up. Forgive me I'm tired! I could try that if I could put enough in his cup

My husband takes a vegetarian DHA flax oil. It's liquid. You could put some In his juice.
