Easily my favorite day of the year!
In my town we have a really cool art festical twice a year called Artswalk. One is in October and one is in April. The spring festival is my favorite one because on the second day there is a fantastic parade called The Procession of the Species. It always touches me very deeply and I have a wonderful time. There's something about drums, dancers, and little kids in costumes inspired by nature that just chase away any bad feelings! This is the beginning of the Procession. The young woman who helped me birth my DD last year is in the group of dancing firebirds. I couldn't see her because I need glasses, but if I were to guess who she is by the video (she told me where she was today, lol!) I'd say she's the one in the last row (there's a single dancer behind them, I don't think that counts as a row of dancers) and she's wearing a yellow wrap crossed over her chest. Anyway, I got the whole thing on my phone, so if you want me to post more I can!
