Smashed Finger

My poor little girl got her finger smashed in a bookshelf... She was playing with it, after I told her not to, and the shelf fell on her finger and smashed it pretty bad. It has a nice sized dent in it. What is the best way to help her with the pain? She is SO babying it up....

Ouch.. poor girl!

I would do a cold compress and some arnica montana.

Thanks ladies. She still hurts quite a bit and her finger is red and has a dent in it. But I don't think it hurts as bad.
