I was telling a friend how my younger dd had taken her time on milestones. I was so worried with my first dd having autism, that I had younger dd evaluated for delays, but it turned out that younger dd just does things in her own time and had no delays. So this friend says to me, "I bet she was delayed because you don't vaccinate. She needs her shots!" I didn't know whether to laugh or what! Finally I just said, "You know, shots do not make people smarter or more advanced, right?" she rolled her eyes. But seriously, am I the only one who thinks it is laughable that anyone would think a child is delayed because they did NOT get their shots?
Disclaimer: I am not bashing those who choose to vax, I am saying the comment itself is dumb. ftr.
Quoting jellyphish: Hmmm... I wonder how many smart shots SHE has had!

I think I would have laughed because the person is just sooo not smart :)
