Natural Birth & Parenting Natural Birth & Parenting
What does everyone do for birth control? I won't do a hormonal BC, and DH won't have a vasectomy in case we decide we do want another. Im Breastfeeding and trying to do NFP, but my 3rd period post partum is a couple days late now so I worry that nursing is going to throw off my cycles. I guess we we going to use condoms for now, but to be honest I HATE them. Are there any other natural birth control options?

The only non-hormonal birth control is the copper IUD, but IUD's can cause scarring and the scarring can make you infertile.

We use NFP because we don't do hormones and I won't risk any thing with an IUD.

There is the Today sponge its about as effective as the pull out method, which is another choice.

I wish I wasn't having irregular periods, NFP is our first choice!

I do worry about the IUD as well.
