...how much easier it was to push when I let go.

...how liberating it was to allow my body to think for herself.

...how hard it was to stay grounded, and how much my older daughter helped me do that.

...How much I shook and shivered after birth

... That I knew I had to pee between contractions. Even the nurses doubted me and told me it was just amniotic fluid. I went to the toilet and proved them wrong.
... That I contemplated whether or not to wipe after peeing while having a contraction on the toilet
.... Having that "superwoman" feeling and wanting to walk around 5 minutes after giving birth.

that when you are 100% in your element, how easy birth can be. Not pain free- im not saying that, cuz it hurts- it is easy. 

and when you dont even have the option for interventions you wouldnt even think of wanting one.

What surprised was that during the whole process, no matter how bad the pain got not once did I think ''I want an epidural", I think I asked for some Advil at one point but they just kind of laughed!

How quickly I healed. I felt fine ten minutes later.
How my body knew what to do.
That I was strong enough to actually do it.
