What would u put in it?

My roommates moving out this month so I have a completely empty room to turn into my own little birthing suite

The tubs gonna take up most of the room though

lots of ice and some juice ready to go. (I realize that might not go directly in the room). I crave ice when I'm hot or nauseous. And juice was all I wanted foodwise. Anything more I wanted to throw up. And a cup to pour water on my face and head. Sorry if that sounded random. I'm weird.

Not random or weird
When I was in labor I was sooo hot I was begging them to just dump ice on me

I thought I was the only one . Lol someone already mentioned the fan. I went nuts for ice right after the first push. Lol. I would also want blackout curtains on my windows so I could have full light or none on a whim. I hated feeling exposed b/c the window was open.

Good suggestions from others!

A place for birth attendant to sit so they're not walking around

something to hold onto/lean on (I worked through a lot of contractions leaning on top of the counter)

Personally I would want a serene underwater feel to the room.  Like, a really cool fish tank or something like that to focus on would be calming I think.

i would have(in no particular order):

  1. a tub
  2. a bed
  3. birthing stool
  4. candlelight(if it's nighttime)
  5. lite music....maybe coltrane
  6. food/water
  7. laptop for skyping with my family

I'll be skyping with my dad and stepmom during my labor so they can witness the birth!

I would put a nice plasma tv in it, with good cable.

A changing table for the baby,a crib, mini refrigerator, rocking chair, foot stool, a comfy couch, Whirlpool tub...the hospital bed would be fine for me.
