Baby lead weaning (solid foods) question
I've been planning to delay solids with my daughter but at 4 months she is sooo interested in food that I don't know how long I will be able to delay them without her getting frustrated. So far she is EBF and I'm not going to bother with baby cereal or pureed foods at all which her pediatrician told me to go ahead and start. No thank you! I plan on making her momsicles (frozen breast milk cubes) asap but when is it too soon do give her fruit and veggies in a mesh feeder? Normally I wouldn't even fathom doing this until she is at least 6 months old and preferably 8 but she's always trying to take food from everyone & gets mad when we don't share! My son was not like this at all so this is new territory. I also worry because her fathers side of the family is REALLY obese (mainly because they are lazy and stupid) and I'm scared of her having the same problems if she got those genes. I don't want to add to possibilities of life long weight problems because of starting her off on solids too soon. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
