called Choosing Cesarean: A Natural Birth Plan. The basic premise of the book is to present the case that a planned, elective c-section at 39 weeks is safer than a planned vaginal birth.

I never heard of this book before (it was just published this year) and I almost checked it out but decided I have better things to do with my time!

I'd actually like to read it to see what it says and how it justifies the risks.

This seriously makes my blood boil!!!! Please tell me why the "evidence" wouldnt be found else where?

"By offering a wealth of medical evidence from around the world, which readers are unlikely to find elsewhere, the authors demonstrate beyond doubt that a planned cesarean at thirty-nine weeks is the safest way for a baby to be born. For mothers, although the risks in each case are different, it is no less safe than a vaginal birth."

For real? How could one even argue that major surgery is less dangerous than a natural process?
