Circumcision.... Why or Why not?

This is a very sensative subject for me. Both our boys were and I really wish I stood up to my husband about it. I feel like such a horrible mother when people talk about it.

Cosmetic surgery on babies is wrong. I wouldn't even consider ear piercing (another cosmetic procedure through which the uneducated mutilate their children). Seriously, chopping off part of an infant's genitals? What is wrong with people? Disgusting that anyone would consider it.

I only have a girl right now, but if we ever have a boy, he will be kept intact. :)

It's comments like this that make me feel like the worst mom possible. I feel bad enough about our boys are cric'd and feel guilty about it just about every single day things like this make me feel 100xs worse then I already do.

This. I believe babies are born perfect. I would be irrate if someone suggested my baby girl be circ'ed. I don't have a boy yet.

You aren't the worst mom, as a society we were taught it was normal. It hasn't been so many years that it was precieved differently.

I didn't vote because I have a girl, but if/when I have a boy, he will stay intact.

My son is not and I'm very proud of it. I will not no matter what. I feel it's his body. Whatever he chooses when he has ability to decide that I will support.
