placenta ideas...

My 2 week-old DD's placenta is still sitting in the freezer (as is her 4 year-old sister's!), and I need to do something with them. I know many people plant a tree or flower over them, but I live in a more northern climate and I'm afraid planting something this late in the season won't be successful.

Does anyone have any good or creative ideas?

My midwife is going to put mine in a jar with local raw honey. After a short time, it turns into a tincture and you can just spoon the honey onto toast or whatever.

I've been thinking about encapsulation. The benefits from it sound really good and there's no taste just pills. :)

Encapsulate!! That which you don't use now you can save for menopause.

You could encapsulate your 2 week old's placenta. Probably the only things you can do with your 4 year old's at this point is wait until spring to plant it or make placenta salve.

I was going to make mine into pills. Well actually my midwife was going to help me do it. But our freezer broke and did not know for some time. So everything went bad in there. It was sad to see it just be thrown out.

Yeah, the 4 year old's, I'd wait till Spring and maybe let her help you pick a tree to plant with it :)  The newbie's--pills, a tincture, maybe some placenta prints?  Just don't google "placenta bear" because, wow, LOL

Put the placentas in the ground now and wait til spring to plant where the placentas are

If you plant right after the placentas are put in the ground the soil will be too rich and kill the plants

At least thats what i was told any way
