Cleaning with BS and vinegar--wow!

I have never found a product that will get rid of soap scum and all the nastiness that builds up in my showers the way I want. Today I sprayed the whole thing down with a vinegar/water/EO solution (at least 50% vinegar) and let it sit 5 minutes. Then I poured baking soda on the scrubby side of my wet sponge and scrubbed it down. Omg. It was like all the scum and hard water marks and buildup just melted away!!!! My shower sparkles once again!!! So amazing!

I have avoided cleaning my shower because I don't like to use chemicals not to mention when I'm pregnant so today I said "f" it and did the method above. I'll never use anythig else in my bathroom!

That sounds so much easier than the method I was told to use (make a paste, cover shower and tub in it, let sit, then scrub). I think I may try that today!!

Oh, but  I was planning on using lemon juice instead of vinegar...same difference, right?

Nope. You may remember the reaction obtained in a science class when vinegar and baking soda are mixed. That reaction is mildly corrosive and does wonders on tough stuff like shower scum and the inside of ovens. Lemon juice is great if your shower isn't really bad, but if it is just do as the OP suggested :-)

Essential oils--I add some to mask the vinegary smell.
