And I know a lot of us use vinegar, a natural disinfectant, as a great alternative. It's food, so it's totall safe, and it won't destroy us.
But making an all purpose. Leaner with EOs instead (or even adding EOs to the vinegar cleaner) has even greater benefit because the EOs will also strengthen our immune system. Diffusing EOs into the air (which happens when you spray a solution to clean with) is a fantastic way to keep the nasties at bay.
Here's my solution:
Mix equal parts sweet basil, lemon, and peppermint oils. Smell it, and feel free to tweak it as your nose desires.
Add a total of 30-40 drops to one of those generic cleaning spray bottles, I want to say its 25 oz, full of non tap water. Shake before use.
It smells sooo good too!!
****do not use EOs around cats, they can't process the oils and continual exposure will destroy their kidneys and kill them.
I'd just trade them in for dogs or bunnies. :)
Quoting thundersky:
What should you use if you do have cats?

Something we do.. and keep in mind we live in a part of the US which has mild weather, even this time of year.. is open doors and turn on fans a few minutes each day to air out the house.
