Natural Birth & Parenting Natural Birth & Parenting

So I signed dd up for kindergarten this morning. I signed her up at our parish parochial school. I gave them a vaccine waiver. They said they have never seen one before. They said the nurse would call me on Tuesday about it. Cross your fingers that they accept the waiver. She can't go to the local public school and I don't think I would do well schooling. I hope they take it.

Then it is a private school and may have their own policies on vaccines.

We pay tuition.

Parochial = parish= church. Do you pay tuition or receive a schools voucher? Or is it free like public school?

Good luck with the waiver!

Quoting jellyphish:

If they hassle you look into that, if they accept any kind of gvt funding at all they are required to accept exemption forms.

Quoting JoJoBean8:

It's parochial so I'm not sure if that would be considered private.

Quoting jellyphish:

GL! Is that a private school?

There could be more to it than that. If the school is 100% tuition based and receives absolutely no gvt funding then they can do what they want. If they receive any funding at all, they have to accept exemptions.

For example, I pay partial tuition for Isis to go to a Montessori charter school. But they still have to abide by public standards.

Since it's a religious school, if they don't accept it, bring in information about the aborted fetal tissues in vaccines.  Bring the ingredient lists and info that tells what the items are.  I can't believe ANY religious school would be OK with that, if they knew.
