Whats your hair washing routine? What do you use? Where did you get it? What's your natural hair make up?

My hair is naturally oily, but I also easily get dry scalp. Ive done many shampoos & conditioners, Ive been doing no poo, tried t-shirt drying, honey added... No matter what I do my hair is still blah, gross and oily.

I'm still using commercial shampoos and conditioners. I've tried no poo twice and hated it.

I like Nature's Gate shampoo which is a little better than a lot of others.

I use melaleuca shampoo right now.  I get dry scalp also, I think it's from our hard water.

I have oily hair. I wash it with baking soda, I mix two bottles of distilled water (we have hard water, which is not good for no poo) about a cup each of water and about 4-5 tsp baking soda. I rinse in cold water. I rinse about every other time with distilled water and allow cider vinegar. I started out doing bs every day, acv when needed. 5 months into it now, I can go a day between bs washes.

I use sulfate free shampoo and silicone free conditioner every 2 or 3 washes. On the other days I only use the conditioner. (See "Curly Girl" method) I had really dry looking fly away hair.  I used the no-poo method but I didn't use the right products so it wasn't effective.  Now it looks awesome.  I also use natural, body quailty henna once a month.

My sister is a hair dresser and she swears that nutrition plays a bigger part of hair care than shampoo does...  How's your overall health and nutrition?

I do no poo.  I put a tsb of bs in there, dissolve it in a few ounces of hot water, and then fill the rest of the way up.  If I don't dissolve it, my hair is nasty.  After I scrub it in, I rinse and follow with a stright AVC rinse (I do not dilute it).  I rinse that and air dry most of the time.  Every 2-3wks I'll do a deep conditioning with coconut oil, eggs, avocado, or some other random conditioner- I usually wing it based on what's in my cabinets, lol.

My hair is super oily but my scalp is really dry. I've tried no poo, but my hair got so oily I couldn't put my head on the couch without the oil in my hair staining the couch! I looooove Rusk Deep Shine Oil, Sebastion Drench, and anything from Wella. The stuff I put on my hair is honestly about as far from natural as a person could possibly get, but I haven't found a natural way to make my hair look the way I want.

Wish I could say my hair is "natural" but I can't. I can't even say I have "virgin" hair anymore, too many grays. :(
