I just received a beco that I ordered off Ebay and it's gorgeous, but it REEKS of cigarettes, URGH!!  Has anyone washed a Beco butterfly before?  I'm a little scared it'll fade

I don't think one washing would fade it. Check Beco's website to see if they have specific instructions.

I have washed on cold and air dried. If the weather is nice you could sun it for a couple hours to get rid of the smell.

Gentle cycle with vinegar in the rinse cycle and then air dry (in the sun if you can).

Quoting NDFanatik: Gentle cycle with vinegar in the rinse cycle and then air dry (in the sun if you can).
