With DD she was young, 4 months, we didn't know any better. With DS we did not do pureed foods. We watch his cues and when he was ready started introducing soft table foods. He was about 8 months.

Never gave purees.. not counting foods 'pureed' as part of their traditional cooking/ serving method like guacamole, pudding, etc. :o)
