Where can I buy it today? I don't know of any natural stores in the area. I know the grocery store sells it by baking stuff but is that the same? We have walmarts and targets.
My baby has some really dry skin its starting to peel and I hear coconut oil is the best thing. But I need it NOW so hopefully I can just get some at a not natural store? And also, the stuff like that kinda comes in a white solid from what I've seen, do I just get a chunk and start rubbing it on?
What about his hands, is it safe if he sucks on it?
Thanks for your help!

Quoting jellyphish: It is actually better to get oils in the food section when you can, it's cheaper and better quality because food is regulated and has to marry standards. Oils in the beauty section have no requirements so their quality is sub par.

Yep!!

If you are looking for super high quality you can order it from mountainroseherbs.com. I buy all my herbs from them and they are completely organic and high quality.

Can use for tons of stuff. Cooking, baking, beauty products. Can put some in a mixing bowl w a few drops of EO and use an electric mixer and it'll whip! Stick in a mason jar and there's body butter! It only whips when it's solid form. It's solid above 76 degrees and liquid below. :) helps with dry skin. Cradle cap. Athletes foot. Acne. Ect.. Can rub some on animals to keep fleas away. Put in your hair (a tiny bit) to keep frizz down. There's tons to do.

I just heard about coconut oil from a homeschool group I visited. They were raving about how they use it for everything from cooking to cleaning, I think the convo started about cradle cap. What do you use coconut oil for?
