I really think I overdid it, I feel so sick right now, and usually I am pretty good during the day. So, maybe this will help me stop (trying to look at the bright side), honestly, I was just hungry, and that was what there was to eat (althought it was really yummy at the time).

Sugar is so evil. I am dreading ds coming home from school today because of the Valentine's party they are having.  It's kinda funny though, he was talking about everything they are having today last night and he said " I'm not going to be able to have any treats at all after school tomorrow, because that's a lot of sugar and it'll make me sick."

My dd came in from school, I ask if she wanted a snack (always hungry when she gets home)....her response "yes, as long as it is not sweet, I had way too much at school today".....I made get some loaded spinach. She was a happy camper.

(Loaded Spinach.....5-6 slices of Bacon, fresh mushrooms, garlic, salt pepper, fresh baby spinach. Fry Bacon and set aside, saute mushrooms with garlic salt and pepper, add 1/4 cup of water and 2.9oz bags of baby spinach and steam til done. Remove from heat and crumbled Bacon on top) I also do this with brussel sprouts and asparagus. And both my kids (6&4) prefer this to sugar anyday. So blessed to not have picky eaters. Lol

Sugar is so addicting I hate it. It's so hard for me to break. The more water I drink the less I crave sugar.

Hi,

there are so many sweet nutritious foods, herbs, spices that can be enjoyed and so many sweet things to say and do...having a sugar-free diet has nothing to do wtih living an unsweetened life!

And there is definately nothing wrong with having some sugar from time to time! pleasure goes with measure....and sweetness in general is a must have in life in so many healthy ways!

totally agree!!! :) I told my husband, no more sugar in our house, just sweets made from things like fruit, real maple syrup and honey :)

Sunday we are also doing another bday party! So we will get sweets then. Yesterday my 6 yr old was seriously hyper crazy! I believe it was due partially to being overloaded with sugar, and with not going to bed on time these last few days! Hopefuly he will sleep in a bit this morning.
