Bed rails for cosleeping

We're looking at a bed rail to put on our queen size bed for cosleeping and there are so many options! We have a tempurpedic bed, so obviously the "stow out of the way by sliding it under the mattress" ones are out. What's the best kind to get?

I just bought a Babies R Us brand rail. It does slide under the mattress, but we just keep it up. They do have ones for deep mattresses if you need one. One Step Ahead website has a bunch of different types.

Bumping for people that use them.

I am not sure why a "stow away" one wouldn't work? Are you going to sidecar a baby bed?

I don't use a bed rail though, we are sidecaring the baby bed, thus we have three sides covered.

Because its a foam mattress, it would end up oozing into the space that the bed rail would ordinarily slide into if it were under an innerspring mattress. Hope that makes sense.
