What was something that you had on your baby registry that you couldn't live without? This might be helpful for first time moms. Mine was cloth diapers.

Baby carriers, cloth diapers, bouncy seat (have to put the baby down sometimes), cosleeper if you don't want baby in your bed, clothes, carseat, Dr. Bronners or other natural soap, coconut oil for diaper rashes. Other than that babies don't need much IMO.

Also things for mom - nipple cream, afterease tincture, postpartum pads, nursing bras, comfortable pants, easy access shirts for nursing.

I didn't have a registry, but I was given a shawl which I love. I use it as a boob cover when I nurse because my son likes to touch it and hold it while he drinks. Coconut oil and water bottles are great too.

I didn't get anything that I had put on my registry. Everyone pretty much ignored it. As far as a couple things I couldn't live without: Sling, bouncy chair, and the baby balm we used. I STILL love the balm. I give it as part of a care package gift at every baby shower.
