We spend a minimal amount of time in the sun, wear clothing for cover, and use coconut oil. We do not use sunscreen unless we are swimmin in the daytime, which happens infrequently.. we usually swim at night. And on those rare occasions, we use natural sunscreen bought from Whole Foods.

Check out safemama.com. She just released her 2013 sunscreen report and recommendations. Basically, you want non nano particle zinc oxide. Also, you want to make sure all the inactive ingredients are safe. Badger, Poofy Organics, and Loving Naturals are some great brands. You can find them on Amaon and I believe Whole Foods sells Badger. Just stay away from oxybenzone which is the active ingredient in most commercial sunscreens.
