I took my son (who just turned 1) out to a farmers market today and totally spaced on sunblock... now his little arms and head are bright pink! I feel just aweful! I got a little aloe vera plant and mixed the juice of 1 leaf with some of his coconut oil and slathered it all over him but don't know what else to do :( at least he doesn't seem to be bothered by it right now, but I still can't get over feeling so horrible!

You can use breastmilk on it..if it seems to get warm after darkwhich is common...cows milk on a rag works to removethe sting not sure why but it does

Let some chamomile tea cool and then wash the sunburn in it...  It should sooth baby and help him sleep.  (I wouldn't use a tea that isn't 100% chamomile, though)

Thank you guys for the reassurance! I didn't think about breastmilk, and I definitely will not be forgetting sunscreen again anytime soonn!

Do not feel horrible! A mothers testament is acquired in times like these!
