PPD Plan :)

PPD is something many of us have had before and I'm working on a post baby emergancy kit sort to speak. I know that I will have a problem but what I don't know is how bad it will be so instead of waiting for it to hit I figure it would be good to have some stuff on hand. What sort of stuff would you have in your sad pack?

I'm thinking of having:

Sam-e

EPA 1000mg

Bach flower remedy both Elm and Cherry Plum

Those 4 are what I think I'd like on hand the bach flower remedys being more for when needed and the other two for daily use. Anyone have any other suggestions though? Oh and of course I will have rescue remedy as I always have that on hand even now.

Great idea and it sounds like you have some good stuff in it!

I would add Vitamin D and definitely have your placenta encapsulated.

I second Mrs.Salz recommendation of having your placenta encapsulated!

Also, having an alert spouse will help.  We're not normally aware of our own issues for a few days, but a spouse who is informed of PPD might be able to spot the signs earlier and *kindly* let us know.  :)

I encapsulated my placenta, kept up with my prenatals, and use EOs daily.

I was also going to suggest placenta encapsulation but I see the PPs have already covered it.

Which ones did you use?

Essential oils.

I use a bunch of them everyday for multiple reasons. For ppd it really depends on what you like, and specific symptoms. Different oils are More uplifting, some are more grounding, some help with sleep, etc.

Rose is especially great because it vibrates at the highest rate, but all EOs vibrate really high.

Did you do it yourself? I can't afford to have it done but my husband said he would since blood makes me sqweemish. Still it seems a tad bit weird, was taking the pills weird?
