Things that make me *facepalm*

A friend's sister just told me that if her OB knew that her SO had ringworm she would be induced or have a CS for the safety of the baby.

What is something that you have heard lately that makes you drop your jaw or facepalm? (or both)

I think that deserves a facepalm.

UMMM how would the baby be safer outside the body than in because of ringworm?

Yeah, tell me about it. Half of her pregnancy has been her saying she needs to be induced for one reason or another. :/

same with many of the people I know...one lady told me at 21 weeks she needed a csection later on because her body is not made for birthing

"I need a c-section because the baby is too big." *facepalm* Rarely is this true, especially when the baby is only 8-9 pounds.

"baby is going to be 10lbs" baby is born 7lbs even by csection

This happened to my coworker. I tried to tell her the ultrasound meant nothing. She let them cut her open based ONLY on the supposed size of her baby. He was 7lbs.

"baby is measuring small. Must be induced 2 weeks early" there were no problems with amniotic fluid placenta blood flow etc. Development of heart lungs and the like match measurements. Baby ends up being born by csection for the ob to say he now believes baby was only truely 33 weeks and needed to stay in longer. Ugh. I couldnt believe noone auestioned her dr! I would have been demanding a real reason besides baby is measuring small. Maybe, just maybe, you got the due date wrong if everything looks absolutely perfect and just doesnt match the due date given!
