My 11 yrs old hasn't been to the doctor in years. I'm thinking of taking my baby a few times, just so I can have a relationship with the doctor.

Yes, every one. My kids have health issues so we go WAY more often than once a year. But if I had "healthy" kids prob not.

1 mom liked this

Every time I did, they ended up catching something from there.  Not unless there is a shot due or something like an asthma flare up, but then again, that wouldn't be a well visit.  Those are like financing the Doctor and I only bring in the bacon for OUR family..lol!  As much as possible anyway.

Yes. I see no reason not to, and doctors are sometimes the first ones to find problems. Plus they do standard screenings that I like to keep up with (hearing, vision, etc).

Yes. This.
Doctors have seen literally thousands of kids, they have a better idea of what is normal development.

Unless my child is sick I don't take them in. Really there is no other reason I do this but because of the cost. Our insurance isn't the greatest and I just can't afford the extra bill for someone to tell me my child is doing great. I can already see that.
