calcium lactate or citrate?

I have noticed that what is usually sold is calcium citrate, not lactate. The midwife i had for my second told ne calcium lactate and had a brand she recommended. She had me take almosy tripple the dose because i was pregnant and nursing. When i went into labor she had me take some more to help relax me, and out of alk my labors, that labor was the shortest and easiest. I was reading in one of my books (herbal for woman) that calcium lactate helps relax during labor, but will calcium citrate have the same effect? Anyone know?

I found this and messaged my midwife. We will see what she says.

Interesting, I've always taken citrate. Last year when I bought it I spent forever on vitacost trying to figure out which one to buy! lol
