I'm going to the health food store tomorrow and would like to start using more natural remedies. Right now I have coconut oil and lavender oil. Any suggestions on herbs or essential oils I should pick up and their uses? Thanks! :)

Every home should have tea tree and lavender oils.
Tto is anti viral/bacterial/fungal and great for first aid and cleaning stuff.
After that, the oils you should get depend on what you like and how you want to use them.

I like to have elderberries and raw honey in the house Incase someone gets sick.
Chamomile tea is great for digestive issues.
Red raspberry leaf during pregnancy.
Neti pot for sinus complaints.

It really does depend exactly what you're looking for though.

I agree it really depends on what you are planning to need them for.

TTO and lavender are good ones to keep on hand.

Emu oil is a must. At least get a cream with emu oil in it. It's helpful for bruises, sore muscles, bug bites, burns.....

Depends on what you are trying to remedy.

Well just found out today I've got mastitis, so what are some natural remedies for that? How can I make sure I don't get it again? I'm miserable! I'm on antibiotics and have been taking probiotics (30 billion) to try to counter that. :( any advice?

I love Emu oil and Arnica gel.  Also peppermint tea is great for tummy issues, but make sure you get one that is ONLY peppermint, without other herbs thrown in there.  I believe the brand "traditional medicinals" has a simple peppermint tea.

As far as clogged ducts, you need to massage and nurse from that side.  Nurse from all angles!

I'm a big fan of lecithin supplements while nursing to keep my clogs to a minimum.   (If I don't take one for a couple days, I'll get a clog).

Tea tree oil for sure.

Homeopathic arnica tablets, 30x or 30c, for bruising and muscle soreness. A must have if you have boys in your house :)

Echinacea or elderberry tincture for immune support and when you're sick.
