belly binding after a c-section

I am having a c-section soon(I rather not talk about why please!) And i want to bind my belly. How can I go about binding my belly after a c-section.I know that the nurses in the hospital may not like it and I dont want my dr to get upset.

Is it safe for me to bind after a c-section? If so when can I start? the day after the c-section or when I leave 3 days later?

I've never done it so I'm not sure.  I would think you should at least wait 3 days.

How far does it go down?  If it doesn't go to close to the incision you might be able to do it soonier.  Maybe just try and see if it's to painful if it is then wait a little longer.

Some actually recommend it. Most hospitals have a post csection girdle. Look online. There are specific belly wraps for csection mommas.

I was given a special girdle thing to wear after mine....I had it on the same day as my section

I also left 48 hours post surgery, but I had awesome doctors

Sorry, no c section experience here. Good luck. I'd probably follow my doctor's instructions after having major surgery though.

I would look into a girdle over binding it yourslf.  Be very careful that nothing will reopen the incision

I've heard it's recommended after c-sections. I've only had vaginal births but did it after my second one and loved it.
