So I wanna make my own tincture. I am pretty sure I know how I want to do it I've got directions anyway but can I use this tea I've got? I got it for DD but she won't drink it but will do tinctures. It's organic and all that jazz and its like whole flowers and stuff not store bought crap.

It depends on what kind of tincture you'd like to make.  Some are best made with fresh herbs, while others are fine with dry...

Personally I'd shy away from store-bought "tea" if there is more than one ingredient listed.

They're just dried herbs. No store bought nonsense. Except mothers milk tea and RRL I don't buy anything tea from the store. Most I order online since I'm picky lol

Check out this book:

Therapeutic Herb Manual:  A Guide to the Safe and Effective Use of Liquid Herbal Extracts by Ed Smith

It tells you how to make and use various tinctures,, and indicates if they should be made from fresh flowers or leaves, rhizomes, dried leaves, etc...

I use fresh(dried herbs) in my tinctures...let them soak in vodka for a few weeks.
