When is it physiologically safe to start using a bumbo seat? My three month old hates laying down and loves to sit. When can I let her use it?

They say they arent good at all but we used it when my LO had good head control and that varies per kiddo

Yeah, I never know with all these changes but we used it with my first and she loved it.  I just couldn't remember if you're supposed to wait until they're sitting better on their own.  My new little one is just so spitty she screams every time I lay her on her back but propping her up pillows doesn't always work.

Thank you.

In my opinion, they aren't a good idea ever.

I agree, my son had one, I wouldn't get one for my baby this time around. It wasn't beneficial.

How come?  I worry about development hinderance, but I don't know if there's any research into that.

My youngest is 2 now. We used it at like 3 months ish, maybe 2.5. He has always hit his motor skill milestones early. I never saw it as an issue

I'm another not crazy about it and never wanted/owned one. But I think 3-4 months is what is suggested.

I really don't think they're good for kids because they are putting them in a position their bodies can't really handle before they're ready for it. It's probably one of those things where if you don't use it often then it won't hurt anything but if it were me I wouldn't bother to use it again. I always wore my kids.
