My 26 month old is going to have several teeth pulled in November. Someone mentioned making sure I stay in top if her pain with Tylenol/Motrin. I would prefer not to use those...do you have any suggestions for natural pain relief in a toddler?

Does she still nurse? If so just nurse frequently. I know when ds is in pain if he nurses he can handle the pain better.

I put Arnica gel on the base of my LO's head while teething, and it seems to subdue the pain.

Also, look into Hyland's Teething Tablets.  If they work on erupting teething pain, why wouldn't they work on teeth that are already here?  (And Hyland's Chamomilla really helps sooth the crankiness right out of my baby...I use them for teething issues, too).

I have never heard of arnica. I will look into that. I had planned on getting an amber necklace and we have teething tablets. Thanks for the suggestions! And yes she is nursing.

Thank you...I'm scared to death. The thought of her being under anesthesia really worries me.

Getting teeth pulled is no joke. I've had several of mine come out. Personally, I would use a low dose of Tylenol for a few days afterwards.

Yeah, its really painful. I would too, just for a few days. My 5 year old had a tooth pulled last year, not fun :(
