Another water kefir question...

Ugh I'm so mad. Hubby is in charge of making and keeping up with water kefir. We were out of organic sugar and needed more so he put the grains in the refrigerator. Well, our fridge is crazy and freezes things randomly. Now our grains are completely frozen!!! Are they still any good or should they go in the trash? I'm so upset because they were pretty expensive with shipping. And I love drinking it everyday. It helps me feel so much better. Grrrr

I'd let them thaw naturally and then run a couple of batches without drinking.  After a few days, you'll know if they have their mojo back...

Where did you purchase your water kefir start?

OK thanks! Good idea. I will definitely try that. I bought them from Cultures for Health. They aren't THAT expensive but for me it is. I pinch every penny lol

I'll look into Cultures for Health.  I purchased my milk kefir online from Marilyn Kefir Lady...about $20.
