I'm really struggling over whether to do the glucose test or not this pregnancy.  It's my 4th pregnancy and I've always passed the test before.  No GD in my family BUT since I'm a surrogate and the mom has Diabetes would that make a difference?  Probably not right?

There's a gd blood test you can do w/o glucola and it's more accurate. Maybe ask to do that instead.

Are you talking about the A1C test?  That's a good idea.

I had GD for no apparent reason with my 4th pregnancy, no prior history.

Why not do the finger prick (not sure of the name) instead of drinking the glucola?

I wouldn't think the mother's history would make you get gd.
