Natural Birth & Parenting Natural Birth & Parenting

Probably an odd question, but..

How do I stop my daughter from using her bottle as a comfort item for sleeping? She'll finish her bottle, I take it away, she starts crying. I close the top and hand the bottle back to her. She hugs it and falls asleep, I'm not able to take it away until she has let it go. She sucks a pacifier, so she'll suck on the pacifier and hold onto her bottle. I've tried using other items, but nothing seems to work. What can I do?

2 moms liked this
I don't see any issue with it.
Especially if shes not sucking on it through the night.
Yah its not a typical "luvie" but it's special to her so I wouldn't care.

I agree too! Doesn't seem like a big deal to me!
How do you feel about it? It can be hard to take away a lovie. My 6 yo still sleeps with his blankie he has had since he was 4 mo!
