Need help with cloth diapering

Can I just use prefolds without a cover?
How many diapers do I need each day?
Are disposable wipes flushable?
How do I get the really wet poops into the toilet?
Any other information you think I should know?

Thanks!

Many moms do so their baby's skin can breathe.  It's good to do when they are very little and can't go anywhere.  You just lay a wet pad under them so as to not get everything soaked.  Or...when they are more mobile and not sitting all the time.  Otherwise, you will get the rest of your house wet.  They do need a cover to be leakproof.

How many diapers do I need each day?
I would say 12 at least just to be safe.

Are disposable wipes flushable?
No but you can wash them with your diapers.  I just toss them in the pail with the diaper and throw them away after they come out of the dryer.  They don't fall apart like toilet paper would.

How do I get the really wet poops into the toilet?
If you are exclusively breastfeeding, those poops don't need washed out first.  Just toss the dipe in your pail poo and all.  If using formula or regular solids in the diet, they will need "dunked".  I haven't gotten to this stage yet, but I have been told you can buy a "Diaper Duck" which is a special sprayer that attaches to your toilet and just spray them off.  You can use a spatula to flick it off.  You can use strips of fleece to line your diaper (which I do anyway because it keeps their skin so dry) and the poop just flops off of the fleece.

Bum genius makes a diaper sprayer that attaches to the toilet. It really works well.
I used clothdiaper covers to help with leaks. I had a couple of polyester covers for going out.
I don't know about the wipes, I use baby washcloths as wipes. Maybe seventh generation has flushable wipes.
Diaper pin .com has some helpful info
