Hello everyone, I'm new to this group, and very thankful to find it. I've often said that so much has happened in my life I should write a book. But now, I've had several people tell me I should seriously just do it. And I have started one. Mainly I'm hoping to get advice on how to organize when I've got it all together, where to begin with getting published, and so on. I read a concern of another, sounded like me. There are already so many books out there written about what I'm writing, but the reply meant so much to me. That yes there are books out there similar, but I am unique, and so is my story. I figure the worse thing that can happen is I get turned down by publishers or no one buys my book, but at least I accomplished my goal in writing it!

  • Good luck! Writing is one of the most fulfilling things in my life. I write best when I don't think about who will read it. And I plan to self publish very soon. I've been working on a fiction novel based on my own experiences, so I know where you're coming from. Make it your own and don't be discouraged.

  • Thanks, I try to remember that it's therapeutic for me to write, and if I'm getting stressed out over it, it's time to give it a rest for a while. How do you "self-publish"? Thanks again,
