I have a problem with being motivated to work on a book I've been working on for years.  I think I know a way that might help me break through it.  I think I need a writing buddy, someone that will stay on me to write AT LEAST one page a day, even if I have to go back and rework that page.  The exception would be the weekends.  In turn I would do the same for someone else until both or all (if there ends up being more than one other person) books are finished.  Will someone please help me.  My Google Talk name is Fairisia@gmail.com.

If I'm right 90% of the time, why quibble over the other 3%.

  • readingHi there.  I just read your post and if you still need it I will try to help keep you motivated.  Writing is a true gift but it can be frustrating as well when you know that you have a great story in your head but you just can't seem to find the time or the right words to put it on to paper.  So, to help inspire you and help you keep a positive I will tell you that I wrote a short story more than 3 years ago.  Wrote the whole thing in a six hour time span in one night, and only now have I finally found a place to submit my story.  It was a long wait, but I am now submitting my story and I look forward to seeing it published by the end of this year.  I also just finished a book I have been working on for about a year now and it too is just now in a place where I can give it to a friend of mine who is going to help me get the book all the way to bookstore shelf ready to sell.  Writing is an art form that you just can't rush and one in which, once you have complete, will have a great sense of accomplishment.  Keep a positive attitude about it, and visualize seeing your finished book already on bookstore shelves.  Remember, "With God All Things are Possible" Matthew 19:26

Hope I was a help to you.  Take Good Care and keep writing.

    Sandra
