I am sure by now most of you have heard something about this, but this hits really close to home for me. My husband is stationed here and we live with him at this base. The shooting is a horrific event that has taken place and has left 13 dead and 31 injured. I just ask that you keep the families of the fallen and injured in your prayers. My husband worked right accross the street from where the event happen and was suppose to be at this, but had other obligations that kept him from there. I am very thankful that he is safe and was able to come home last night. I'm still in shock about this and just needed to get this out. Thank you all!!

  • Yeah....it is heartbreaking. My DH is stationed at Ft. Bliss (the other side of Texas from Ft. Hood), and we knew a few people who were attached to units at Hood. Luckily (and I can't believe I am saying this) they are deployed. It is a sad day when you feel that your friends are safer in a warzone...than their own home.

I am glad the outcome was good for your family. I am very interested in this....I want to know what that man has to say for himself.

I hope everyone affected by this knows that you are in all of our thoughts and prayers.

  • Ohh...that's what my guild was talking about last night...I actually haven't been paying attention to the news so I wasn't sure what was going on.  That's so sad...

  • We live here too.  My DH was in the field while this was going on, and they took their phones away, so he didn't get to call and let me know he was ok until around 7.

Thank goodness your hubby had other places to be.  I feel so horrible for the victims and their families.
