• hi every one i am teri i have 3 kids and one for sue is on asd scale and on is? and my oldest is 7 who has adhd/odd so i am about 30 so min from chi town out by jolet i just moved

• Hi! My name is sonja. I am from rockford Illinois. I have one son named zachery who is 3 1/2 and currently has dx's of autism, and apraxia of speech. He is enrolled in early childhood here in town, and is starting out in the autism class.  He recieves private speech and ot each once a week, and gets speech and ot in school. We just had our first conference since school has started, and he is doing good!! He is making some progress!  I look foward to meeting other moms from illinois finally! I tried a church group, but it wasn't for me. I haven't gone to any easter seals meetings yet. I have been soo busy lately.

  We also have another boy on the way. Due in may of 09'!!  Hope everyone has a great day!!

• Hi....my name is Christine and I have 5 kiddos, Zachary (14), Jake(6), Danny and Emma(4 and twins), and Amy (3). We live in Norridge right on the northwest side of the city. Danny was dx last August with Autism and it has been a VERY long year.  He is currently getting OT 2x's a week at the hospital, we are on the wait list for speech and he is currently enrolled in the Autism program through our school district.  I am very excited to be here and look forward to talking to you mom's.

  My son Josh just turned 3.. He has a bit of Autism and MAJOR Sensory...

  My older son  Brandon is 17 and he is fine....

  no clue what I am  doing ,, what direction or what.. just kinda ya.....

• I am Angela and I have 2 kids, ages 5 (Joanna) and 3 (Joshua), and I'm married. We live in Bloomington, IL. Both kids have been diagnosed with mild autism, although we think Josh just might be delayed. We are hoping to see an autism specialist who can run some tests and confirm some things for us and point us in the right direction.

• Hi, new to the group, I live in Elmhurst, IL. I have a 13 year old son that was diagnosed 3 years ago as NVLD, PDD-NOS, ADHD, AND Sensory Integration Disorder. My challenges are trying to keep my son motivated with regards to homework and following rules.

  My name is Stephanie and I'm the wife of a wonderful man named Chris and the mom of 2 amazing kids.  Our daughter is 21 and neurotypical, and our son is 10 and was diagnosed with classic autism at 3 years old.

  We live in a little town called Ottawa. It's about 95 miles southwest of Chicago.

  Although my kids do not have autism, my son was just diagnosed with ADHD and learning disabilities. My daughter has speech delay.

• Hello all. My name is Nancy, I am the wife to a wonderful husband named Wesley. I am also the mother to 3 wonderful children. KaliAnna is 5 almost 6 and she is a joy. Has a bit of a problem reading but thats it. Samantha is 2 almost 3 and she has a behovorial problem and we are working on getting help with that. And then there is Samuel, the doctors have said that there is a good strong 90% chance that he is autistic. We are currently going through evaluations to get a confirmed diagnosis. We are here to meet other families that we can relate to and that we can talk to.

  Hope to get to know some people that are close in the area....
