Many Blessings to you. You certainly have a lot to deal with and I hope that someone can help guide you in the right direction. Have you considered speaking a nutritionist. The Diabetes, that adds a whole new obstacle. What have they done, or what are they doing about your bowel obstruction?
I hope you are feeling better very soon.

Sorry I haven't been around for so long. Had too much going on in my own life. But I hope I can help some.
#1 what is causing the bowel obstruction? Is it twisted? Is it possible that you have big polyps? Or are you badly constipated? If you don't know were they able to do a CT scan without dye (one of my major allergies) What tests did they do to let you know about the obstruction?
- (and it now occurs to me from the date of your request that you may have already have that worked on.)
If they have to deal with the obstruction surgically they will be able to the biopsy to find out if you have the damage that indicates Celiac. I was GF for so long when they finally did the colonoscopy that it didn't show up, but I had tested positive with a blood test.
So have they tried a blood test. It is not the test they really like to use for diagnosis, but for you it is a good place to start.
Have you tried going gluten free?? I would suggest that, just avoid anything you KNOW you are allergic to. If you have a problem with something you try, skip that and try something else. There are so many flour blends out there. My favorite has almond meal in it but too many have nut allergies..
You will have to learn how to read the ingredients on everything and visit fodd company sited to find GF products.
I will do my best to pull in those I already have.
I have been told NOT to go off the GF diet even tho they wont give me the diagnosis from a biopsy. Love that. You don't have Celiac according to the standards but its not safe for you to go off the diet.
I will tell you that some of the GF products still lack taste so making it your self works. but there are some great products out there. Ask others what they like.
I have major allergies. So many flared up when i was pregnant but got worse when the Celiac symptoms began. I have had life threatening allergic reaction to meds they had been giving me for years. So now they don't even want to put me to sleep, but I haven't let that stop me. So you have to find a way to get the help you need. YOU are your best advocate.
