I am a logical person, but I can't understand...my 2 children 1.5 and 3.5 have celiac.  We have spent a lot of money, time, etc..The medical community has made me lose faith and my mom suggested an alternative doctor.  I gave in...he used vibrational healing to treat celiac?  Once again, I'm too logical to just go with the flow.  I asked a million questions and he answered them with facts and told me to just see what happens. After the vibrational healing, we took the boys for pizza (we have been gluten free for a while) and neither of the boys had any kind of a reaction.  We are not going overboard, but they have been so sensitive that even a crumb from cross contamination caused severe symptoms.  I'm not certain that it's cured or 100%, but has anyone else tried this with such amazing results.  The boys have been eating regular meals 1-2 times a day with gluten free 1 meal + all snacks gluten free for almost 2 weeks with no cramping, vomiting, runny stools, etc...this is so amazing!

This method may treat the symptoms of Celiac, but is the gluten still attacking the small intestine? From everything I have read and asked about Celiac, regardless of the severity of the symptoms, someone with Celiac will always have intestinal damage when they eat gluten. I didn't have any common Celiac sypmtoms when I started, but was told that the damage to me would be the same as someone with severe symptoms...
I'm really curious to hear back!

I have heard the same thing as you.  I had a friend of a friend tell me that she had a friend that used some sort of desensatization holistic approach and her celiac was healed but I called the Celiac.org organization and they said that it is genetic and even though symptoms may not be present, damage is still being done.

My neighbor who is also Celiac said that her celiac nephew who tested positive on the blood test several years ago, eats gluten all of the time now and has no symptoms.  Another friend told me her nephew grew out of his celiac.  My neighbor said that some tweens go through a period where they show no gastro. symptoms but they still have the condition and it will show up later in life.

My 15 yr. old daughter old is anemic and our celiac OB/GYN said that even though she tests negative for the blood test for celiac, her symptoms still indicate it (she did test histamine allergic to most grains).  He said she still may have the sensativity and we should do another test to conclude it.   I didn't because she refused to remove it from her diet anyway.

I just reduced my gluten intake when I was a teen and my digestive problems improved.  I was later diagnosed with gluten intollerance after trying to get to the root of my Fibromyalgia.  Once I cut gluten and started Omega 3 and probiotics, the Fibromyalgia went away.  About two years later I finally tested gluten sensative, even though the celiac blood test was negative.

Celiac.org suggested that we have the genetic test if you really want to rule celiac out.  This is the only way to know for sure that the condition does not exist.  Otherwise, the symptoms can disappear but the genetic condition can show up later with other types of symptoms.

Can you tell me how you where tested for the gluten intolerance?  I have the gene for CD and lots of the symptoms, however no damage to my small intestine.  I also can' t have dairy of some types, just know that I get really sick when I drink milk and eat some cheese.  Yogort is fine with me and some ice creams.  I have a three yr old dd and a seven year old ds with CD.  I have been tested by a local GI and he said CD and then I went to the Uof Chicago Celiac Disease Center for testing and they said no CD , maybe sever gluten intolerance.  I was just wondering how you where tested.  They said that there is no testing for it?

My son, diagnosed with Celiac, has NEVER shown any signs with his poop or being sick.  He was diagnosed with High Functioning Autism because it affected his development in a very silent and unnoticible way.  It got so bad that he could not talk and now he is talking since going gluten free.  We by mistake gave him gluten and he had NO REACTION, I was excited for a while but after a few days he stopped talking again.  Your kids may just be getting so healthy and their little guts have healed so much that the major reactions don't happen anymore.  Give them enough gluten and I am so sorry to say.......all of the symptoms will be back.

Another story.....I found out at thirty one years old that I have Celiac Disease.  I have NEVER had any symptoms and in my late twenties my kidneys started to fail with no explanation.  After getting my son's diagnosis I went gluten free to be fair to him and my kidneys look like someone elses kidneys.  They have COMPLETLEY regenerated themselves and are working perfectly.  Gluten is an EVIL thing for people with Celiac.  It can kill you and you won't even know it.  I litterally almost died and going gluten free, I am a VERY healthy and happy person.

I really COMMEND you for trying to cure this TERRIBLE disease but I am afraid to tell you that it can be very unnoticible and do LOTS of damage.  I TOTALLY believe in "alternative treatments" but I think this one may not be able to be cured.......yet!  I would not test it until you have some tests that say "cured".  Hang in there and DON'T give up!!  If you did find the cure...you ROCK!!  I am so going to do it too!!  You are a great mama!!  Your kids are so lucky to have you!!!

Proud Mommy of my sweet family!
