My 10 month old that has this separation anxiety is always chewing things up!
Today he chewed up my iron! He also likes to chew up cardboard boxes. He chewed the corners on my one night stand and started chewing on the corner of one of the steps coming upstairs!

Any ideas?
I've left rawhide and he still chewed up somthing.
I know he's doing it because he's mad I'm leaving because he takes it into my bed and chews it up most of the time!  UGGGG!

Is this getting any better for you?

I would try wearing him out before you leave, to start. Take him for a long walk or run.

If that doesn't work... crate train? It has been great for us.

If that doesn't work, talk to your vet. You can get calming stuff for your dog. There are natural remedies to help your dog deal with separation anxiety, but I've never needed any of it.

Good luck!

I would create train him . My Ruger has been create trained from day one and he doesn't mind it at all . The ONLY time he is in there is when we are not home , but it keeps him safe and our things in tact when we are not home . lol . As long as its NEVER used for punishment , create training can be a very useful and effective thing to do .
