My twins went this morning for a preschool screening for develpmental and social/behavior disabled through the school district. They both have to go back for more testing, but it doesn't look like they will get in because they are too smart. The one twin is very shy and didn't do anything for testing so she has to go back for a full evaluation. the other is a go-getter and did well on everything except speech so has to go back for more speech testing. The first does everything the second can do, and I was basicly told that the second scored too high for this program. She is four and tested in the 5-6yr. range. I can't afford private preschool, so should I look into homeschooling for preschool. Head Start is not an option because I have had issues with them in the past.
You can def get preschool material at stores and online. But your child does not have to be officially enrolled in school until later (In Wisconsin its 1st grade I believe) and there is a form you have to get. I homeschooled my son, for kindergarten and part of 1st grade but he is going back this year. good luck
